I apologize for the double post, but thought I would point out it started snowing shortly after my last post and we've got maybe 1 - 2 inches of snow so far. Not sure how much will be in the morning. I also just read the most recent weather report for tomorrow. The High still remains in the single digits. That is, in the NEGATIVE single digits. -2'F is going to be the high for tomorrow. For you Europeans, thats -18'C and below for the day. If only I were a PanzerPenguin...

I think we have about half the 11 inches or so they are calling for. It's hard to tell what with the wind blowing it all around. Some parts of the driveway look the same but other areas have two foot drifts right now. Can't wait to see what it looks like tomorrow. At least it will be warmer than in Aspen : high around +12 F.

It was 72 this afternoon. I had to run the A/C today. I hate when that happens.

Yeah, the low has been in the 20's the whole time i have been out here. This 'storm' that was supposed to hit us with double-digit inches of snow seems to have skipped on by, but it has sucked all the 'warm' air away. Friday an Saturday are going to be the only days where the highs are -2'F before things warm back up to the 20's on sunday and monday. Of course, my 2 days working outside happen to be the 2 coldest of the year so far >.<

Thankfully we don't need the AC going. according to NOAA:

Tonight: Snow, possibly mixed with freezing rain and sleet, becoming all snow after midnight. Areas of blowing snow after midnight. Low around -3. East wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to between 5 and 10 mph. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. Total nighttime snow and sleet accumulation of 5 to 9 inches possible.

New Year's Day: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 6. North wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Oh Whoopie! Good to know there is little or no ice accumulation expected. I spent 5 hours today plowing the 4 to 9 inches of snow (it was actually 13 inches with over 2 foot drifts) we received last night. Can't wait until tomorrow morning to see the 6 to 12 inches of "new" stuff.

77 for the high today, with 96 percent humidity. It's a little after 8 PM now and it's still 72. And the A/C cranks on.

Well I survived the sub zero temperatures today. Tomorrow I get to work outside again and the high will be -5'F with an early morning temperature of -28'f. So for your limeys thats a low of -33.3'C and a high of -20'C. Adios, testicles.

I guess an old fart might make a joke about the use or dropping of testicles at this point; but, beings I am not of sufficient gentrification and flatulence I will only offer: Gee that sounds chilly.:)

Since I fear the idea of spending any time in the cooler with you, I will bow to your ancient wisdom, oh gaseous one:)

I survived an even colder day 2 on the front lines of the sub-zero weather. My back is harder then a sheet of metal at this point and I am in a lot of discomfort over it and the skiing injuries i've sustained as well. And, oddly enough, I have been invited to have dinner with the family that OWNS all the mountains and towns out here tonight (well, via my sister, who has the connections). Would it be impolite to ask about a significant raise since they're the ones paying me (techincally) to work here...?

I would at least wait until after dessert, that way, if they kick you out, you'll at least be full.

Haha, well, it wasn't quite what I expected, and that part of the family has more issues then anything. My sisters college friend - the guy we met - was really nice as was his girlfriend. His dad was on his 2nd or 3rd wife, who has a 40 year old daughter and a 21 year old daughter. THe 40 year old also has a 17 year old daughter herself, so its kinda wierd. The 21 year old is a druggie/alcoholic/lots of tattoos etc. So yeah, it was kinda wierd for everyone involved.
