I think that what was meant was the only flying Blenheim. There are are few static/under restoration Blenheims/Bolingbrokes around the world, including a complete MkIV, L8756, at the RAF Museum Hendon. Thanks for the link to the Finnish aircraft - that's a new one to me !
Sami, Thanks for that. Shows what happens when you believe the papers! Btw, are there any Avro Ansons still around? Regards, gordon
Happy to say ( for a change ! ) that the Avro Anson has survived reasonably well. In the UK alone, there are ; - WD413 ( airworthy ! ) operated by Air Atlantique out of Coventry N4177 on display at Duxford W2068 at Hendon TX214 at Cosford VV901 at Yorkshire Air Museum, Elvington VL348 at Newark Air Museum Unidentified under restoration at NE Air Museum, Sunderland.
Blimey - he'll be asking about the Miles Magister next ! The only Oxford which springs to mind is MP425 at - you guessed it - Hendon !
Cheers Martin! And now that you mention it....... [ 10. December 2003, 05:03 PM: Message edited by: The_Historian ]
There is an Anson being restored in Texas to flight condition by a private person. Have not read on his progress for awhile though. Probably a few in Canada and Austrialia also.
A few of the Classic jets reside in Capetown SA and I am saving up my bottle tops for a flight Cape Town Jets
