Mauser BK27?

I'm looking for a good source of information about the Mauser BK27 revolver cannon used by, amongst others, the Typhoon.

Should this question have been posted in the Aircraft Forum?

Any of his books are worth getting (and keeping).

 

I have "Rapid Fire" by Anthony G. Williams (Tony Williams?), but this doesn't say much about the BK 27. The "Flying Guns" books are rather expensive, so I would like to browse through one before I buy one. But thanks for the info.

Only when buying - they're worth hanging onto for ages so it works out at pennies per year.
Good readable books with hard data, I wouldn't be without the ones I have, and plan on getting the full set of his books.

 

I wonder, when is the last time an air to air kill was scored using cannons?

 

The Arab-Israeli wars would be my bet.

 

Falklands war had gun air-air kills.

 

During operation Desert Storm A-10's shot couple of helicopters down with GAU-8. On the other hand, during same war there was one air-to-air -kill with laserguided bomb...
