Is there any books written by medics, German or American? If so what are they? And is there any other books that mainly talk about the mutual respect for medics between sides.

I second Kai-Petri. The book is fairly recent ('07?) and is a first person account that begins with the invasion of Italy. An awesome book. I'd say it's one of the top ten I've read.

I saw at least one book about German Medics and or Doctors on the Helion website. The book I THINK has now been translated into English and published. The book in English is called: The Doctor From Stalingrad. In German I think it is: Die Arzst von Stalingrad. I don't remember the Authors name. Also, I think there were other medical titles listed but I didn't really pay them much attention since I was looking for something else. ;-))

    Best regards--C.
