    Su-33 -- F-14
    MiG-29 -- F-16
    Su-27 -- F-15
    MiG-29K -- F-18
    Su-35,Su-37 very deadly aircraft

I was pointing out that each russian aircraft was built as an andidote to the american ones. When, Su-35/37 enter massive production the F-15/16 generation will be in trouble for sure. In my opinion the Russians have achieved a balance -- although 10 years late...

The Mig-29K does not actually exists yet. AFAIK the Mig-29K was built but never adopted by the Navy due to the Su-33 being simply better (though in a suprising turn for the Russians, not cheaper :D ) I think that although it would make a great supplement to the Su-33, the Russians simply can't afford to implement it... And navy technology has a nasty habit of being particularily expensive.

Also i don't think its as simple as labelling Russian and American planes as 'Antidotes' to each other. Each one has its own good and bad points, and there are many aircraft that both sides have no equivalent for, like the Mig-31 and F-22. Then theres unique avionic technologies like helmet bore sights etc. etc. Its very hard to just say "this beats that and that beats this"

I didn't mean that "the one beats the other" or my post to seem absolute. I was saying that the Russians in order to catch up with the rapid development of american fighters needed planes capable to deal in overall equal terms with their american counterparts.

Well you may be right there... i think the F-15 was specifically designed to conter the Mig 29, and then the Su-27 was specifically designed to beat the F-15

by the way I'm still stuck on that damned level 6 :p

Possibly by now, yes they are tied...
However, the Russians are 10-15 years late and the Americans now seem to regain lost ground gradually...

What makes the Russians 10-15 years late? The Su-27 is 20 years old, the Mig-31 is almost 30 years old, and they are the two best aircraft in the VVS?

The F-15 is 100% competitive from its 1st flight as an opperational plane(1974) and so is today.

Serial production of MiG-31 started in 1979 and entered service in PVO in 1982.

And, if the Su33s beat the Mig-29, they'll still have one more thing standing between them and victory over the Migs-the Mig31 Foxhound.

MiG 29 and Su 27 were developed at around the same time (hence roughly the same wing shape - TsAGI designed planform). F-15 was years and years before MiG 29.
