***** The "Defence technologies studies collection" is part of the german governement's defence technology and procurement agency "Bundesamt für Wehrtechnik und Beschaffung". It is opened every day of the year except for the period from december 24th to january 1st, from 9:30 till 17:00. The entry fee is a modest 1,50 €. Straight away it is a fantastic collection and any military buff passing through germany should visit it. There is a huge number of weapon systems of every category and from all historical ages. It is a shame though to see how, due to a lack of funding, the whole museum is in an advanced state of dereliction. Same goes for the very poor lights, many pics are of a very poor quality and even more exhibits could not be photographed for the lack of light, even while using the Canon 530x external flash. In some places it was even to dark to read the brochure. If I had taken a tripod I could have worked with longer shutter times. It is a shame to have such an important collection presented in such a shabby building!
