Last saturday i went on a trip to the Hurtgen Forest and Aachener Forest. The finds where a little dissapointing but the surrounding and weather made it perfect! German tanktraps from the Siegfriedline: Trench in the forest: Kind of beltbuckle?: Lid for the 81MM Mortar ammo.: Earmark of a cow?: And a look up trough the leaves:

hI Pegasus! Whereabout in Britanny ? I know some great atlantic wall bunkers on the south coast+ the Lorient U-Boot base, but the north coast is full of defenses too.
Hi Skipper, I have spoken to my friend Pegasus today, unfortunately he doesn't have internet access whilst in France, so he has asked me to act as 'go between'. He tells me that he is staying in a small village to the east of Brest called Guerlesquin. Any places you may suggest he can visit would be appreciated .
Yesterday a new trip to the Hurtgen Forest with Spideyman. Not so many findings but a great day! Buttons i found for the first time, has anyone an idea what they are and how they where used?: A coin dated 1941: NOTE: all the live ammo is placed back in the ground and are left at the spot where they where found!
Still nice finds Edwin, Wehebachtalsperre I see? Very nice place to be overthere... I also didn't found much overthere. See you tomorrow.
Interesting finds. is that a beaver dam? The coffee bag looks nice too. The french coin is a zinc occupation coin from northern France (the later Vichy coins were similar but had an axe instead of the Marianne)
Those are covers for granate canisters, U.S. Your welcome! Could you skip the pictures next time if you quote? Thanks.
