Hold on, is that an Mp40 magazine i see sticking out of it? Is it a captured PPS made so that it can use German magazines?

Looks like one of the "volks**" emergency submachineguns the Germans developed around the end of the war, always wondered why the didn't just copy the STEN, you can't get much simpler that that.

    EDIT: ERMA EMP 44

I'm not a small arms expert, so I don't know if it's easy or hard, but it looks interesting.

Mine comes from a book by G.Markham, Hint it's not a Mondragon, but from the same period.

Mauser 1916 semi auto is good enough, I can't really name it better but it was possibly called C/06 or C/06-08 or Mauser Selbstlade-Karabiner (SLK) 1916, pretty confusing.

Looks like you had the same problem I did with an image split over two book pages;), by the length it looks more a cavalry musket than an infantry rifle.

EDIT: Looks like a drawing I've seen of the CEI Rigotti semi auto, http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/ad309/bingqitu/WWII/SmallArmsW057.jpg on the other handthe only picture of it I found was this that doesn't resemble it at all:

Yes TOS it looks a bit short, but it is an rifle and not an musket! And i´m sure you will find it!

Sorry, missed your post and edited mine instead of creating a new one. If it's not the CEI Rigotti I'm lost, found that very drawing in at least two posts about it, then I found the picture in post #75 and began to doubt.
