Correct. More specifically, a PB4Y-1, navalized version of the Liberator. The PB4Y-2 was a more heavily modified B-24 with a longer fuselage, single vertical stabilizer, and deleted turbochargers. Your turn. tom

Martin Maryland aka Martin 187. These were originally ordered by France. After that country fell the aircraft were delivered through Lend-Lease to Britain (and already paid for too!). Used in the Mediterrainian theater mostly as reconnissance aircraft because of their relatively high speed. A few in French hands were in North Africa when the US invaded. These soldiered on in the FFAF afterwards.
