Looks familiar as a driver training vehicle I have seen but can't think where from.

Not Wickers and AFAIK not a "training vehicle" though it may have ended it's life as one.
Hint: look carefully at the suspension and the front plate.
BTW I've found the non retouched version of the pic but it would make it much too easy.

The suspension with such small roadwheels was used by Italians, British, Russians and French. Maybe by others too. DonĀ“t know much more!

This one lost the competition but the winner also had 8 small roadweels in pairs in it's final form.

I'm stumped. The closest I can come to it is a Soviet T-24. Those are a very unique set of road wheels and suspension on that thing. Is it a prototype only?

It is a failed prototype (Rh) , but the winner (K) was one of the most common ww2 tanks, the final product had 4 not 3 return rollers until the final production series.

    At last !!
Didn't think a (nearly) PzIV would prove so hard. Once you think German the split front plate with the driver further forward than the RT operator is a dead giveaway.
Here is the link to the better pic
    Panzerkampfwagen IV

    Your go

It seems to have used the suspension of the Neubaufahrzeug.

    Easy one next then

It's an incompleted Pzkpfw V with a prosthetic extention used as a decoy?

    Not all that easy.
Believing that gun will have a short enough recoil to fire in that turret stretches the immagination, it looks like an SP2000. The only WW2 gun that comes to mind that would look like that on a Pz V hull is the 17cm K18, but all references I have for panther SP gun are on the smaller 128/L54 or 128/L51 and AFAIK only mock ups were buit.
The chassis has straight sides, but the roadweels look "tiger style" like on late G models.

Well... It's not a very large or clear photo, but I see now that it only has the outter road wheels. Hmmm....
