This tank was a French designed, Infantry Tank. The "Char Leger FCM-36". Main gun was the 37 mm L/21 gun.
Yes it is! It was certainly easier question, since vehicle, although less known, has been produced in numbers and used by French and Germans.
You are correct! I suspect it's gonna be quite tough to find any vehicle that will stump anyone here for to long. That site (Tanks) is nice though, with a lot of unique vehicles in it's database. Before handing over the reins could I ask a quick question about the format of this thread. What are the restrictions for time period (ww2 ??) and type of vehicle one can post? Your go!
Ddoesn't look like the thread starter put in any conditions, so it's possibly any AFV from any period, we had all sorts. So .. next one (sorry for the very bad pic quality) View attachment 10226
Looks like a capture French armored car. The front is hard to distinguish, but the rear of hte vehicle reminds me on a Panhard AC.
"Captured" is close to the mark, despite the cross it's not of German manufacture but it's not French.
Seeing as this thread is within the sub-forum World War 2, General Discussions and this site is predominately a ww2 one , please keep it with the right time frame of ww2. You can post pics of anywhere from ww1 since few tanks were in active service at the time of ww1, and then to anywhere up to around the 1960's. All modern tank quiz's are to be kept in the Free Fire Zone.
The Lince is correct, at least it lasted a bit longer than the previous one, I should have broken the pattern but the fact is I have more pics of Italian AFVs than any other country. Your go
Romanian Maresal 2 The Romanian military began development of a modern AFV in 1944. The new design was of a contemporary appearance, having an enclosed fighting compartment, and it was armed with a captured Soviet 76mm gun. The M-04 prototype, inspired the Germans to develope the Hetzer tank-destroyer which mounted a 75mm gun on the chassis of the Czech LT vz.38 tank.
Good call Vathra! You sure made short work of that one. Thought I might fool someone by posting the pic without the pontoons. Over to you.
I wait 48 hours to see if anyone would post. So I decided to start this thread back up again. Please take a look at the attached picture. This tank is sort of different from the normal vehicles of this type.
Kevin, sorry for delay, I rarely check this forum from home. And thanks for nice photo! It looks like early Panther A, but bolted boxes look rather strange. Could it be some add-on weight for trials?
