Then you should have put it up there you big dope!!!! I'll let you double down. I'll give you an easy one. "I am sorry...we don't have the facilities to accept your surrender. Was there anything else?"
A Bridge Too Far. (I'll be honest, I looked it up). I'm not much of a movie-watcher, so I'll leave the game up to those who are. I just knew I'd heard this one somewhere.
Sands of Iwo Jima "His astrologers have informed him that this is only a feint, that the real invasion is yet to come, north of Calais. The Fifteenth Army is sitting on those cold beaches up there, waiting for an invasion that is already taking place, is an excellent example of war by horoscope".
The Longest Day?.............I refer to it as "The Lamest day" that thing hurts me to watch. Maybe The Desert Fox?
Your 2nd guess is correct - The Desert Fox. Easy on "The Lamest Day" thing. Carl is back now. You know how he is when people blaspeme the classics.
Oh PALEEEEEEEEAAAASE!.....that thing is a star spangled turd. It marks only marginaly higher than The Big Red-one. The next thing you are going to tell me is that The Guns of Navarone was brilliant. "Fear leant him wings....."
They're NOT MY classics, they're Carl's. "The Longest Day" could have worked, if the people doing it made it work. It had the right format, but not the right effort. That movie and "The Battle of the Bilge" could use a re-make, and I am not a proponent of re-makes/sequels/prequels. The best part of "The Big Red One" was the ending and of "The Guns of Navarone" was the part when the British destroyers were tooting their horns after the German guns were blown out of the cave and into the water. I thought that was the coolest thing when I was a kid. "Where Eagles Dare" "Well, when you are fat you don't move so fast"
