Hi Gents, its strictly WWII and is a color movie that is now at least 41 years old. BTW, the Producer of that classic, recently passed away in his 90s. A hint eh? That Sergeants Lieutenants Commanding Officer's last name was Colt. Oh and, I have two movie stills from this movie which Skipper kindly posted for me some time ago. ;-))
Good Guess but, nope ;-)) Forgot to say, right theater, right army, but wrong time frame. Think of the last few months of the war. Oh and, the Lieutenant in that movie is based on a Lieutenant Timmermann-who actually did what this movie Lieutenant did. MMM, another hint: "More smoke, more smoke. Those men are not getting enough smoke on that bridge".
Nope, BoB was Dec 44 to Jan 45. This one is I think March or April 45? One final hint: The bridge collapsed 10 days after we first crossed it. Ill give a bonus hint. Uboat Ace Erich Topp was from and lived there till his passing. As far as I know, he also lived within sight of that Rail Road Bridge which was named after General Ludendorff.
NO!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Just kidding, you got it :lol::lol::lol:
Oh oh oh! I know, I know! The bridge at Remagen right? It is the part when the private/ sergeant hits him at the end of the bridge.
That's it, but you're a day late and a dollar short there slick! See posts #552 & 553, and get in step! Now here's a hint. It was a very strange movie (off-beat is how the critics call it I believe), set during the Battle of the Bulge.
