HMCS Chebogue K 317. Its the only Canadian River class frigate hit by a Gnat torpedo. That is consistant with the damage shown. The ship was declaired a constructive loss and scrapped.
Well TA, she is a minesweeper, but not of the countries you list. Though Britain did order 20 of this class, they were all maned by foreign crews.
Bathurst class. Australia had 38 in service, 4 more went to India. Post war several went to the Netherlands and about a half-dozen to Turkey. Without finding the exact photo it would be difficult to pin it down to the exact ship.
While HMAS Whyalla is on static display outside her home town in South Australia I suspect you mean the restored HMAS Castlemaine that is now a museum at Melborne.
The caption in greek and the two very different height funnels does look like the Aetos class, as the only one I have info about war loss is Leon it would be my guess but this site gives her as Panthir http://www.mlahanas.de/Greece/Military/Ship/GreekdestroyerPanthir.html
That ship got me confused, there are shots of the Aetos class with 5 funnels but no info about a major rebuild. So an easy one ... View attachment 4352
I think all the sea dogs are on vacation ..... it should be easy, she's obviously an oversized destroyer or very small cruiser and not many navies built them .....
Yes, they probably are. I looked for it, but not a whole lot. You may have to throw a few more hints out.
She was one of ww2 fastest ships at 42+ knots and was at one time painted blue so was nicknamed the "blue cruiser".
