I don't think Sevestapol was that far along before her capture, so my next choice would be Kronshtadt.

Don't know why but the picture looks more recent than WW1 so my guess would be Sovietskij Soyuz or one of her sisters. All the Borodino's were launched so probably got a bit further along than what's visible. But your reference to flat tops make me think of Amagi ....

This is what I do in situations like this. I copy the pic into my Paperport (or any picture program) and blow it up as much as needed. You'll see a word that starts with "P," and that'll tell you everything you need to know.

You're not exactly warm, but you are headed in the right general direction. Not geographically speaking....

MB is my hero! (I used to date a girl in NEPA. Pottstown, I think...?) The pixelated word which has so strained our Gestalting brains is "Penhoet" (or "Penhoët" for those of you with a lust for diacriticals).
    Your turn!

Thanks Richard. Just when I thought Iwas getting good at my identification, you throw a wrench at us:p

Now I'm only 95% sure I've identyified this one correctly.

The Text on top makes it obvious for the country, but which ship is she????

Bonus points if you realize why it should be easy

Well, the Idzumos were the only Japanese armored cruisers with those three skinny stacks. I'd never be able to tell you whether it's Idzumo or Iwate.

Iwate because it sailed to Pearl Harbour in 1927? Maybe making it the last Japanese war machine to be there before the attack in 1941? Guessing it bit at the reason though!!

Is there a d? I thought it was Izumo?Either way you got it. I'm pretty sure its Iwate.

It was an easy one since I posted it in the user gallery a few months back.

    Give us another.

Edit: Sorry BarryBarFly, I was typing up my response when you posted:( I would have taken either answer. You guys can fight over who gets it.
