Indeed it is Kentucky who was cannibalized to repair Wisconsin, after her collision with Eaton.
The honor/duty of finding a nice one falls to you ... I really had hopes this would survive at least a couple of hours.

 

This one's a little different, though not very hard. No photo, but a page from a USN intelligence publication.

 

Appears to be a Cavour class Italian battleship but, not sure which one.

 

For slipping an Italian battleship by me in the darkness of the night you deserve to be served the pride of the swiss navy next time I get command.

 

I'm a crafty one, no doubt about it, but IcecreamLtDan has found me out.

Yeah, there's her. The Italian navy had a problem similar to the German navy's, in that the air force was higher up in the pecking order and used that to monopolize control of aircraft. The RM perhaps had a bit more pull than the KM but not enough to get a carrier project in place before it was too late.
