assuming its in cali, cuz of clue 2. I live there, and it doesnt look like the actual bay. So...is it monterey?
Yes, it is the SF Bay area. (There's a big clue at the bottom of the GE image. Its a clue but not the answer)
Remember.. what was the facility there and what did they do there significant to the war effort....and remember its in the SF Bay area
yea...i was just throwing out random, not educated guesses...lets see now...that bridge looks like the richmond bridge...is it san quentin? they had a prison there, is that what you are looking for? all that's left in the circled area is the shoreline amphitheatre
no offense, and don't know if it is my place to challenge the quiz master, but...um...thats is the richmond-san rafael bridge. I went on google maps to make sure. You may want to double-check the answer or the picture. If it was the Golden Gate Bridge, next guess would be Sausalito
You know you are probably correct. GE might have screwed me up between the time I thought I had Sausalito and saving the image.... SO mea cupla! It was meant to be the shipyards that produced Liberty Ships at Marin Ship Yards. You have a turn SOAR!
thx tex umm...maybe another day until google earth actually works. its kinda screwy right now. google maps doesnt cut it for my next image
This town was annexed by Belgium on March 6, 1925, after the defeat of the German Empire in World War I. An important road and railway junction, this town was fought over in the 1944 Battle of the Bulge during World War II. The United States Army defended the town against German assault for a few days, delaying the German attack plan, before eventually retreating. Once it was captured by German forces, the town was bombed by the US Air Force on 25 and 26 December 1944. The town was largely destroyed during the ground battle and subsequent air attack. American forces retook the town on January 23, 1945.
This is a modern picture of a World War 2 locale. Clues: It has grown considerably in industry and density since World War 2. It is my parental, not ancestral, homeland (Have fun with that clue). That's an airport, but it was a jail.
dang lol im new at this. Well, to be more exact, Changi was what I was looking for. Changi was a jail during the war, now an airport and naval base. Your turn
