It doesn't have to be open to serve that purpose either. ;)

This is correct, also European Law I believe No SS Nothing. There calling it a Museum. A Collection of SS Archives, Badges, uniforms, Weapons+++++++++.

I hate to be the Devil's Advocate ICCI  we have members that collect German Memorabilia,+++++++, and many are proud of their Collection. We have many Threads and posted on Nazi German Army++. Then tell all the Allied Museums around the world that have so much Germany Army, and SS material, they should be removed from public viewing, Since it's offencive and insulting.

Even if you factor all the atrocities committed, unfortunately as with extreme prejudice the SS it's still part of World War History.

Since I don't collect German Army trinkets, LOL and only interested in Archives and German Diaries from the fronts to collaborate information from the other side of the Fence this interests me. As for Himmler's Castle anybody Gots a few Javelins I can assure you I'll put them to good use.

Looking at the artwork surrounding the walls, it is of sufficiently modernist quality to be called 'decadent' by the Nazi's themselves.

A museum full of artifacts that show the SS and Himmler for what they actually represented is, in my humble view, a fine way of chasing Himmlers ghostly association from the walls of this ancient facility, and putting the history of the place back into perspective....restoring it to the proper contextual place in German history, as it were.

I don't doubt for a second that Neo-Nazis will give this place the once over. Maybe a small area should be set aside for the purpose of their fawning supplications to their lost psuedo-heroes. It would publically expose this section of the community to the ridicule they so richly deserve. IF Germany had such a shrine, only idiotic exhibitionists would bother to show up anyhow, and then they could be catalogued with security photos and cameras, and publically posted by law on a website for every German national with any sense to see for themselves WHO these people actually are.

Know thine enemy.......better to publically bring these fools out of the shadows than continually drive them underground. Public opinion will do the rest. Prospective employers could visit the site and choose not to employ these fools. It would give these retards a taste of what social segragation (a'la Nuremburg Laws) is actually like. The 'followers' would either toe the line, or be a public burden on the German welfare system for life....
