I own several dataplates from a Ju 88 A-12 ? recon craft hit and shot down in the area of Norway in 1942, will tell you they do signify different part locations but many times impossible to tell due to the damage of the part(s) as well as trying to find exactly what the dataplate signifies as data for German and Allied a/c part by part is very very limited in books and existing manuals

it will be quite interesting what develops as the acid muck of corrosion is cleaned off and the numbers and leteters revealed

It can.. It's like Poker, Take the risk or not.

Use little material, maybe it works out if you do it slowly.

never use a steel brush which will scratch. Use a very dense tooth brush and hot soap water.

Welcome Nick, glad to have you here. I've already looked at the photos you posted in other threads and they are great.

Please do not worry about your English, if we can't understand you, we'll just ask you to say it a different way, but we won't complain!

~ our member Stevin needs to greet you in the mother tongue as well when he comes on

well Nick looks like I am going to have to stick with some 1943 dates of NJG 2 Ju 88 crashes at G. R. for questions

What do you want to know?
I'am working on a site about Fliegerhorst Gilze-Rijen but that can take a while before its finisht, if you can give me some information about the crashes (locations, exact dates) I can look in some archives here in town, but that can take a while ... we are just moving to another house. So a little bit busy at home.

WOW! That is great to hear! I have been looking for somone to explain the antlers and sword to me, so far all i've vome up with is the antlers are for charging and the sword for the fight. Anyway, I have to order my Rosetta Stone "Dutch" course before I can converse with you!!

My grandfather who fought in Korea has allready past away... unfortunately.
There is a documentary made of him and his actions on the last patrol in Korea just before the war ended there. 5 hours after the documentary was made he past away. War can still kill after 50 years...
