The NFL released some very popular VHS tapes on Biggest Hits etc. They profited off the violence, and videos like those highlighting the wobbly player walking off...They encouraged hard hits.
Joints and bones would be sacrificed by players but they never knew about concussions. Job safety has only really been enforced seriously, in the last 10 years or so. Because business now realize they could be held responsible for their workers injuries or unsafe practices.
    Robot NFL soon maybe.

How bout that hit by Odell Beckham. He could if killed the guy. And they are presently mulling over his 1 game suspension. Goodell could care less about player safety.

That was a very entertaining game. Passion makes for good football. ..The refs are weak this year. A more experienced team would have stuffed the beef before it got out of hand. Refs let it get out of control.

I agree. Now that the refs are being ranked, you are seeing much more identifiable issues with certain combinations. Don't know if it's really helping game analysis. Now the NFL cam be involved in all calls.from NYC I hear.

Well...it's do or die for my Eagles tonight. My confidence is pretty flat at this point. Cross your fingers Lou. :)

Well, this season has been a downer all year. The nightmare has continued. At least the misery is over. Not sure Chip Kelly is made for the NFL. Hope I'm wrong.

No, no. The misery is not over. Your going to have to suffer through the next season, and the season after that, and the season after that, and the season after that, etc.

After all, this is the Philadelphia Eagles we are talking about.

I have not heard the Eagles theme song in a while...And only vaguely remember the title.
Is it "Choke, Eagles, Choke" or "Cry, Eagles, Cry"?

Yesterday was a good day for the Lions, beating the 49ers 32-17, while their hopes for getting into the playoffs this year have been squashed, as a Lions fan I'm still happy to see that they're doing better now. Hopefully they'll get into the playoffs next year.

Waited for Payton to reply to accusations other than that he seems selfish.

A miserable game by a miserable team. There are not enough fingers or toes that would right what is wrong.

Well wow...the Eagles just fired Chip Kelly. Another long off season of speculation, roster overhauls, offensive schemes, defensive schemes, ugh. The joy of being a Philly fan.

Someone in Buffalo is probably experiencing a bit of schadenfreude.
