Mmmmmmm....! RS625 'NE-D' flew with 143 Squadron Banff Strike Wing ffrom 7 November 1944, operating off the Nowegian coast in an anti-shipping role. 143 shared in the destruction of U804, U1065, U251 and U2359 in addition to many other successes.
Revell's 1/72 U-boat - a monster of a kit that I'm slowly piecing together myself - it's over 3 feet long.
Martin that picture reminded me of a question I had about the Mosquito. On the inboard top of the wings they have the red X on each side. I assume they mean not to walk there but why there and not the rest of the wings ?
Used to wonder that myself TA until I had a good close look at examples at the Mossie Museum. The area you're referring to is over the twin radiators : these are really packed into the wing between engine and cockpit and are covered only by a thin sheet of ply. Being quite a nice flat area it would be a tempting place to stand.....
Drache you got any photos of your kit? How is it going. I've been tempted myself but not sure where id put it!!
Mahross - it's going, well - slow, I can post a picture of it in the box ... and I already have a shelf up on the wall to put it on, so I HAVE to finish it. I know what you mean - I saw the huge box in the shop and had to get it. I'm finishing up the main hull and the sanding - there's a lot of sanding. Overall, a kit I highly recommend - not a difficult kit at all, just haven't had the time lately.
Who won the argument, the ones fleeing from the East Front, or the guys fleeing from the West Front? They are trying to cross the one-lane bridge in two directions, but everyone seems pretty relaxed about that!
