Calling it a Revell kit is an age give-away, lol. It was originally a Monogram kit, till the two companies merged.

It's in 1/72 scale I think...either that or 1/48. I know it's Revell. They made the same plane in different scales, right?

Then it's in 1/48. Thanks! Gosh, it's been a while since I've modeled...it might just be the break I'm lookin' for.

I bought the Monogram kit when it first came out, and I think I paid about $8.95

Well that kit appeared over 30 years ago, and I bought a first release. I've been modeling for 45 years.

It's still available in the States under the Revell tag at the moment.

My own Revell P-61 cost about 25 - 30 American dollars I think. But that was at least five or six years ago.

I've bought quite a few kits from eBay, all arrived in fine shape.

If nothing works, let me know. For the costs involved, I'll find one and ship it to you. Used to do same thing like for someone else I knew in Germany years ago. I had access to decal sheets with the forbidden symbol, so he could make historically correct Luftwaffe aircraft.

just got back from R and R and some needed research in Germany, the Mrs. working on her masters............. December is coming soon where I will gather the needed materials to finish out Decembers 1944.

So Ulrich you have the modeling bug now ? ETO or PTO Widow you plan on modelling ? interesting comments Huffel about P-61 as the best along with the Uhu. for me that is another story, but will agree for the US even in the ETO where it was not truly able to prove itself in the night fighter role but adequate as a night ground attack craft.

    now time for rest ~

    Hi Erich,

nice to see you´re back! Hope anything was well for you?! Yes, i want to do some modeling during the long, hard, dark, cold,...can´t find more words, winter. I like to make a ETO-version but i´m not sure which. Do you have a favourite?

Ulrich we had a great time cruising the Rhine again then some serious school work back in the states for another week. might be in the Bayern in 2-3 years so we will connect hopefully for a good Deutsche Bier(s) and some Wurst, etc.

for ETO Widows I really do not have a favorite maybe check on-line for pics ? what I have has not been fully downloaded yet into saved file(s). of note it is snowing in our Mountains today and we are only 10 degrees F warmer so it may come in tonight in our area. Friend you may be interested to know I found more info for my book concerning an April 1944 date near and over München. Back to weather what is outside for us today reminds me of the type of weather in December 44 cold, low visibility where the US ETO P-61 squadrons protecting their designated corridors from the LW Nachtjagd performing ground attack operations and for those fortunate enough and this may be the ( incorrect wording ), going after BC bombers.

    Good to hear that Erich!
