Ike, I :salute: you Sir, and the only thing that comes to mind for me about OLDD holding a big press conf/ is because he really loves all the attention he's getting and is wallowing in his own new-found glory. I bet his Ego now is as big as Oprah Winfreys huge Estete-and I saw an airial view of it in a picture taken of it-that was printed in some news Mag/ and her estate is as huge as Rhode Island is.

Now that we find out that banking executives received $18billion in bonuses at the end of last year after their banks received bailout money, Osama states

"It is shameful. We're going to be having conversations as this process moves forward directly with these folks on Wall Street to underscore that they have to start acting in a more responsible fashion if we are to together get this economy rolling again. There will be time for them to make profits and there will be time for them to get bonuses. Now is not that time."

Talk is cheap. Speaking with "those folks on wall street" will accomplish what? He should be talking to the house and senate to stop all further bailout money being given out. Those same execs went out and splurged $$$ at a resort to celebrate being bailed out.

Talk is cheap Osama. You want to be a leader, stop talking and start leading.

Hi Ike, that's true and not only wasted bailout money on the things you mentioned but, I think it was one of those banks that also decided to go ahead with the plans to buy a new Corporate Jet Airliner. My blood was boiling when I heard that in the news a few days ago.

I think OLDD actually believes the press when they call him a Rock Star. Gee, I wonder when he's going to start singing: "Rock Me Amadeus (SP?)" played to the tune of a Saxaphone played by slick willy.

I love that one Jaeger, I show it to my Democrat friends often (yes, I have a few).

That clip is another reason I am so fond of Bob Hope.

I don't know if the "communist" thing is as far fetched as some seem to think or not. The head of the USCPA was in Phoenix last week and had a get together with the local faithful... all 20 or so of them. Anyway, to quote from the Phoenix New Times

Seems Sam Webb is sold on Obama.....Now, while Webb later stated in the article he didn't think Obama is really a commie his speech seems to have been a bit more affirmative in that respect.

"Because of the election last year," enthused Webb to his audience, "there's a possibility that this can be an era of social progress in this country."

BO was, is, and has been a commie since his Kenyan father was one too. And who is BO? Is he really a qualified citizen to hold the office? Why hide his original birth certificate???

And what were his qualifications? NONE! The only reason he is acting as President is that the Blacks voted for him simply because he is "black". (There are plenty of polls to indicate that Blacks and other BO voters didnt understand what BO stood for).

And where did BO get his money? George Soros who is a billionaire who is a communist is probably the real source of the $$$ to get him elected. And coming from Illionis and Chicago, BO's ethics reek.

America was based on the idea of people have the freedom in using their potential to achieve whatever they wanted without government interference ; BO's idea is for the government to take from the producers and give to those not inclined to produce but to hold their hand out(BO calls if economic justice; I call it thievery or communism).

America has been betrayed by the media here who love BO and the communist ideals. Alan Keyes is warning that something must be done soon or America will disappear as an upholder of individual freedom and justice for all.

Yes, I hope BO fails in his agenda: I perfer a Free America where the Federal Government doesnt think it owns me.

The Chicago Tea Party of 28 Feb 2009 is a start to take back the US. (And I might add there are calls to real arms on the issue of BO and his communist agenda.)

    </Rant Off>

Well-said.Also, I too noticed that a certain segment of our population did vote for him just because.....and I admit-I always vote color--that is, the color of the person that I figure is best for the job.

In the past iv'e voted for Hispanics over blacks and blacks over whites. One thing I did greatly notice about any aspect of OLDDs bid for Prez is that his AMERICAN of African descent half--was THE half that was acknowledged. The man is half caucasion--but oh HO, that part is never to my knowledge--never mentioned.

What sickens me the most is how people are willing to worship the ground he walks on. The ONLY one i'd ever consider to do that for-wouldn't want anyone to do that for him anyway. That mans first name is Jesus.

Like in "freedom in using their potential to achieve whatever they wanted without government interference, including driving the whole country's economy into potential bankcruptcy so the evil commie government has to spend tax payers' money to clean up the mess" ? :D

Once you have Democrats in control of both houses of Congress and the White House, yes, they will try to do exactly that! 3.6 trillion budget for 2010! Any more spending (and tax increases) to come shortly.

History has shown that the Federal government is the biggest blockade to economic recovery when the Feds want to help by spending more $$ to get the economy moving. The Feds can hardly run the freaking government and they have the balls to tell industry how to run their business...frickiing lawyers/politicians!

Dear God, SOMEBODY tell the young boy in the WH that we ARE out of money... (and just printing more only makes it worse)... Cant ANYONE tell BO NO, but Hell NO???

Interestingly, if a Republican administration had tried to increase the federal budget like this, the Media would be going "Ape-S%#t" over it!

Right now, they still have tingles up their legs over the Obamessiah!

</Rant Off Again> hmmm where did I put my BP medicine ?? Oh here it is... Jack Daniels..and coke.....:D

    TAXING THE ACHIEVERS

    By Neal Boortz @ February 27, 2009 9:15 AM Permalink | Comments (29) | TrackBacks (0)

Barack Obama is well on his way to taxing the dog squeeze out of the achievers, the business owners, the wealthy - the people who create the jobs in this country. Starting in 2011, over the next 10 years, Obama is proposing almost $1 trillion in tax increases. And you wealth-envy types can rest your pretty little heads .. he is going to increase taxes on those evil rich people you so love to hate. Jake Tapper from ABC News has the breakdown:
    1) On households making more than $250,000:

    • $338 billion from turning back the Bush tax cuts.
    • $179 billlion by reducing the limits on itemized deductions
    • $118 billion by increasing capital gains taxes
    Total: $636 billion/10 years
    2) On "evil" businesses:

    • $17 billion comes from bringing back the Superfund taxes
    • $24 billion fromtreating tax carried-interest as income
    • $5 billion by codifying "economic substance doctrine"
    • $61 billion from repeal of the LIFO accounting practice
    • $210 billion from international enforcement, reform deferral, other tax reform
    • $4 billion - information reporting for rental payments
    • $5.3 billion from excise tax increases on Gulf of Mexico oil and gas
    • $3.4 billion from repealing the expensing of tangible drilling costs
    • $62 million from repealing the deductions for tertiary injectants
    • $49 million from repealing passive loss exceptions for working interests in oil and natural gas properties
    • 13 billion by repealing manufacturing tax deductions for oil and natural gas companies
    • $1 billion by increasing to 7 years geological and geophysical amortization period for independent producers
    • $882 million through eliminating advanced earned income tax credit
    Total: $353 billion/10 years
There are people who actually believe that Obama is going to succeed in his quest to return economic prosperity to our country through taxation. There are also people who believe that wet streets cause rain. These people are commonly called "idiots."

    (my emphasis)

I'm waiting for the sun to climb and start to glint over the trees and through the window, awakening the US public after that wild, raucus party that was the US Presidential Election. I'm thinking that they are going to look at the naked, disheveled, sleeping body of Obama, chest heaving with each breath and it's exhalation signaled by a fog-horn like snort from his nose and then back at themselves to wonder if this was the same man who was just so coooool and suave last night, as they twirled on the dance floor, hoping he'd pick them over all the other ladies vying for his attention. They were so excited over the change from that dowdy, out of style John McCain, who was sitting in the corner, nursing a warm beer with that over-done hussie he picked up on the street corner.

Through their now bloodshoot, hungover eyes, they began to see the warts more clearly on their night-time lover and the question arises in their mind, "Did I really let him do THAT to me?" Cognizant that are consequences with all actions, they begin to gather up their clothing to leave, only to realize that they are in their own bedroom and from the looks of things, he won't be leaving anytime soon.

Looking furtively at their purse, which looks as though it has been rifled through, they began to ponder how they are going to pay this month's bills. But he was so perfect and they thought that they could be a part of history! "How could he do that to me, loving me so and then taking money from my purse?" But they were so drunk weren't they and they can't really prove he touched anything. They did enjoy the fun last night, he is so charismatic. They won't be able to say the same thing in nine months, he'll be long gone, just like his father, wooing some other lonely electorate with fake promises and deceitful intents.
