I like to have fun like everyone else - but no thanks on this one! Experimental passenger pod fitted to the underwing rack of an F-5 Lightning. PlaneHistoria
From American politics to some peon from the UK I'm really questioning the lifespan of Humanity. We're definitely in decline. Prince Harry and I'll put that in quotes, was awarded some dumb ass 'Living Legends of Aviation' for "significant contributions" to Aviation/Aerospace ? Would Someone please enlighten me as to just what he did. I just finished a squadron patch of the 341st fighter squadron, framed it and saw this ridiculous filler News item in my Google feed. God help me I'd bitch slap Harry and John Travolta if they tried to talk to me. Let alone the organization that propagated this. Sorry for the rant but Judas Preach' !
“Travolta, himself a pilot, was reportedly the driving force behind Harry receiving the award after feeling an affinity for the prince after dancing with Diana – though the prince's nomination angered some military pilots who felt it was unearned.” Stolen valour? Or just BS valour…Honoured for doing his job like everyone else. This is what happened all through WW1 and happened plenty in WW2…The officers get the medals, the soldiers who did the job get an extra beer. Check out the Royal family’s ‘medals’ next time they are in dress uniform…Won a few wars all by themselves by the looks.
“15 January 1976, Colonel Sanders tries his first Australian meat pie at Harry's Cafe de Wheels in Woolloomooloo. The Colonel, who was visiting for a promotional tour, expressed a fondness for the pie, describing it as a "tasty morsel". The Australian meat pie…A staple in Australia for kids and adults alike. Possibly the best hand food ever made…And that’s a big call.
I respect Harry for his actual service ( regardless of the politics behind it) but totally lost any respect for him accepting the award.
Agreed…His brother William has more than enough honour to not accept it…or, if he had to, to mention in his speach that he doesn’t feel like he deserves it…
This is a pot pie in Australia…literally in a little pot. The Aussie Pie is designed to be eaten with hands…lunch time, walking, sporting events…Much like an American hot dog. I’m told by Americans that you don’t have a little sauce/ketchup invention we have here…Would be good for hotdogs, easy to use, no mess.
We call them Pasties here in Minnesota. Miners in the USA would take them for their lunch. Now they are a novelty and Tasty !
You are opening a can of worms here mate. The Pasty was invented in Britain, and yes for its miners. Not surprising it’s made it to the US as you mob imported miners by there thousands (their family too) Mostly from Britain…Many from Wales, it’s where you also get the word ‘buddy’ from, but I digress. That IS a pasty…You can have meat or vegetable pasties…Vegetable are more popular in Australia. This is not a pie.
