Sorry about that Chief I got caught up on the mentioned ""Possibly the best hand food ever made…" Here's what we refer to as pot pie. Essentially all 'pot pies' are meat pies. Turkey, Beef, Pork, Chicken. Growing up these were always eaten with a fork and as for me the crust was mearly a bowl. Hated that soggy shell.

Here's the Food the Gods, as far as Scotland's concerned; yer actual sausage supper, though it's normally smoked sausages done in batter.
Considered complete when adorned with salt, vinegar, and brown sauce. Or curry sauce.
    Life is good.

We got in the habit of going to a local hotel/ Lodge a couple times a month and I always got the ‘Huntsman’ breakfast. Eggs, bacon , German sausage-two varieties, toast and their famous cinnamon roles.

Very similar. Mine ; had two slices of toast, two eggs, two sausages (bigger than American Brats), two pieces of bacon (3?), hash browns, unlimited coffee, the aforesaid Cinnamon rolls and on occasion an extra dozen of cinnamon rolls
The chef and I became friends
Jumer’s Castle Lodge in Peoria Illinois. Many good memories before it closed.

You might have gained weight but I'm savoring a trip to old Scotland! Grandmother on my dads side dates back a thousand years. No wonder the gravitational pull keeps tugging me Home.

Oh jeez, never actually made the stuff. I'm more of a "buy-it-out-the-Chippy" kinda bloke. Here's some literal food for thought though.

I'm thinking I might make my own version of Haggis. Venison+Pork+ A tad of Beef. Neeps and Tatties I'll leave as they are. Maybe if that turns out okay and a few drams of whisky later I'll mix it up with liver, chicken gizzards, whatever at else may be handy.

I have a few jars of pickled fish chilling in the fridge - should be ready in another week. Warming up into the mid 30 degree range and guess it's time to make some Venison Summer sausage and Jerky.

I ain't going there anymore. I've only got a few years left ( hoping for maybe 20? ) and I've decided it's best to let everyone feel they are the Center of the Universe. As long as they stay away from me I don't care they don't understand I am my own Being.

I hope you have 20 at least...We are in the most interesting times of Humanity...So many things you have done and can do that previous generations simply couldn't. The average person lives far better than the richest King 500 years ago...Few of the "experts" see death as an end but simply a transition...(although if one doesn't take one's consciousness with them, its kinda pointless as an individual...But individualism is a recent concept anyway.)
So many different views, some supported, most not.

I’ve heard talk of billionaires building bunkers lately…There’s a funny meme where someone backs up a cement truck to Bill Gate’s only exit from his bunker. This reminds me a little of ‘on the beach’…surprised by how many people haven’t seen it. It’s got Gregory Peck in it. Cruise around post nuclear Earth…
