    Chinese Drone Mother Ship...

Not much more than a Drone bomber really...Dropping really slow missiles. 2 years ago this would have sent a chill down my spine, but today even swarms have counter measures...And this "bomber" would be a fat, slow target - Like in the movies, you take down the mother ship and the "drones" suddenly go limp and fall...Anyway, good for transporting drones to a distant target before release...but thats about it.

Watched a 4 Corners (A top shelve investigative Australian program from the ABC since 1961 that has busted stories that have had legal consequences for years) Very trusted.
This program was on Japan and WW2 particularly the 2 Nuclear bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
As soon as i saw this i thought about the many arguments had on this forum and others around the moral use of these weapons and whether the use was justified. The ABC leans towards the left these days, so i thought it was going to be an Allied/USA bashing program.
Instead, was genuinely surprised that the story was ALL about the Japanese Government wanting to bury the story among its people. 4 Corners interviewed a number of still surviving people who were in the bombings and ALL had no problem with the US, instead demanding an apology from the Japanese government (and some wanting compensation) - They knew that the fire bombings of Tokyo etc were not just about robbing the factory workers of their homes (hopefully stopping them being useful workers) - But about bringing the Japanese government to the peace table. The Japanese survivors seem to know the Japanese government was told about the new nuclear weapons and the threat to use them - And knew that the Japanese government stood firm and still refused to surrender. They knew that the Government still refused to surrender after the first bomb...and still took 6 days after the second to surrender (and even that decision was a 50/50 split and needed the Emperor to cast the deciding vote!)
Not one bad word was spoken by the survivors about the Allies or the US except that they were "Angels" and the people they actually feared were the Japanese soldiers themselves...Described as "Monsters" by these survivors.
So i thought this documentary/report finally put to bed whether the use of Nukes was a good or bad idea.
The bombs killed eventually 140 thousand people...a fraction of the estimated 4 million Japanese dead if the homeland had to be invaded on foot! (And 250k Marines/US personnel).
The program showed an old man trying to hand out pamphlets to children boarding a school bus, calling out that they should know the truth...The teachers shielded them from the old man and the kids looked at him like he was weird. So sad.

No, that tends to be the preserve of their Allies and certain sections of the US public. Every time a picture of the Rheinweisenlager surfaces on FB there's the usual orgy of "war crime!" hysteria from the usual suspects, and the majority tend to be American or British and under 50.
Yes, there's the occasional German revisionist, but the vast majority ain't.
