Username: Otto Postmark: 1 March 2018 From: Texas School Book Depository at Dealey Plaza - Dallas, Texas, USA I now work withing walking distance of Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas, so a visit to the famous Book Depository was inevitable. The fact that JFK fought in WWII, made this even more relevant here. Dealey Plaza is a odd place in that there are two bright crosses painted onto the road. One at the location of the first shot that hit JFK, and another at the location of the second, fatal shot. While mildly morbid, the marks were interesting in just how very close the were to the sniper's location. The first shot would have been almost straight down from the window, and the second only a few meters beyond that. I've read accounts in the conspiracy theory circles about how only an expert marksman could have made these shots, but now that I've seen the site itself, I completely disagree with this. All shot's could easily be made over iron sights, with no need for any correction due to wind or bullet drop. Even with a bolt action rifle, anyone any gun experience at all could have accomplished the level of marksmanship that Oswald did. In any case, I took heaps of photos, some of which I will share when I have some time. I dropped the card into the mailbox seen here. The Texas School Book Depository can be seen in the background.
