    infantry- 1911 pistol hands down. I own 4 of them each with there own individual purpose, but love each one of them. Also the SVT-40 during the war or lattar became the SKS in 1945, right after the end of the European theater.

    I am not sure what to pick. M1 Garand is a good choice.

    I love my M1 Carbine, and I am sure my great, great uncle did too, when he used it in the war.

    Infantry: Stg 44 just beats the Bren gun.
    Armour: Staghound (AA) T17E2 - 2 50cals and a powered turret - what more could you want.
    Air: Hurricane IIC - big bangs
    Sea: SWP PT boats armed with everything that could be begged/borrowed or relocated.
    Head gear- Aussie slouch hat - nothing cooler

    Tanks:Maus...why because no tank could penetrate the front armor and it was a mobile bunker :p.
    Artillery:Dora such a big gun with a cute name.
