Can we in parallel form step even farther forward with this theory so's we can blame our selves again for baiting Tim McVeigh, whereby we exposed him......and then again twice with the attacks in New York. Sooner or later you know we gonna have to quit this practice of baiting lest we reach a point where there is none of us left. It makes a lot of sense to block a strategic harbor with sunken ships to keep us all crippled up from doing anything in the pacific. With revisions we go amuck I suppose. It is so easy to put a twist on things these days.......we was supposed to be fishers of men....right?........but often all we do is practice "catch and release" having forgotten the original intent. Yes we even revised that, no?

Check out the thread on Gerald Nye and birth of the Pearl Harbor conspiracy theory, it's quite amusing in a morbid sort of way.

I can't figure out if the original poster is trying to make a joke or not. There are thousands of "legitimate" resources (ie: not AboveTopSecret.com) that shut down this theory. ie: I think his theory has no foundation whatsoever.

EDIT: I don't know why dexter livingstone "liked" my comment. I guess he didn't realize what I said. I've made the important part bold now.

Hold on George, please! I think we better ask agent Mulder for a second opinion before we completely trash this information.

I'm just stating my opinion. Everyone is free to think what they want, of course -- as incorrect as it may be ;)

Actually this conspiracy theory makes total sense:

    1. The POTUS is a criminal dick, who risks lots of Americans for his goals. Just what the average POTUS in a TV show or movie does.
    2. He is also a clever dick. I guess he did this totally on his own or soemone would have talked already.
    3. He is an even more clever dick. PH was heavily defended and had been warned about war in general. FDR had good reason to assume US losses would be limited while the IJN would pay heavily but Kimmel and Short screwed up.

PS: If you find the irony you can keep it.

For the sake of discussion, I'll take this statement at face value. However, just because something "makes sense" doesn't mean that it happened. Speculation is not evidence.

So, TV and movies are your measure of reality? Wow.

Like every good conspiracy theory, the absence of evidence proves the theory as much as would copious amounts of evidence. How in the H-E-double toothpicks could a crippled guy in Washington DC "arrange" PH with no help? That's so preposterous even Oliver Stone wouldn't buy it. It seems much more rational to presume that no one has "talked" because there is nothing to talk about.

    (sigh)

Well, at least half of that is reasonably debatable. Kimmel and Short may have screwed up or may have gotten the dirty end of the "blame stick".

I am no fan of FDR by any stretch of the imagination. However, I do insist on facts and not conjecture when one attempts to make this sort of claim.

I took that as a tongue-in-cheek post, TD-T. I may be wrong, of course. Markus, can you chip in here?

    Um.... Never mind.

Sorry, MB. I did have a couple of good one-liners in there, though. ;)

Seems to me that the OP (no, not the one who made the most comments) was only trying to stir up s@@t. He hasn't been back, and his thesis was discredited here. Another poseur.

Well we might as well use the OP's thesis as bait to lure out more CT coyotes
