genst the highly acclaimed distributor of fine works is going to re-release the famous Confound and Destroy book for around 37.00 US, a book covering the RAF 100th groups activites. Since I missed this I will put it on my Christmas listing. also martin bowman's latest, Mosquitopanik is out covering all the Mossie vicotries over the UK as well as the Reich. As I am in conversation right now with friend and author Neil page he is giving me news about this 40.00 US book and the content. Seems though that Mr. Bowman missed his opportunity to mention that the Luftwaffe did indeed come up with anti-mossie units in September of 44 as a counter "they were de-morailized"............ hmmmmmmmmmm, well the Nazi officials were more later on this. check out their link by typing in Pen and Sword publications on google search engine cheers guys ! The latest 'Pen & Sword' catalogue just arrived and looks interesting - they're making a special feature of Arnhem and for the first time will be printing Bob Peatling's 'Without Tradition - 2 Para' book previously only available in privately-published form. Erich - yes, the 'Confound and Destroy' title is a worthwhile reprint. I'm not quite so sure about 'Moskitopanik' . I was looking forward to it but when I browsed through a copy I wasn't convinced and didn't buy .... Although he is a highly regarded aviation historian, author Bowman's Mosquito books have come in for a little 'flak' on the Mossie forums, with some doubts being raised as to thoroughness of research. The tables of Mosquito vistories previously appeared in his Crowood 'DH Mosquito' title. Think I'll wait for this one to turn up secondhand....
