    OK, daft question. I think everyone sees this as a fake, but what was the supposition behind it? If it appeared in magazine articles it must have come with at least a vague description about it and what it was supposed to have done/achieved/been designed for?

    I see no obvious weapon.

    Another thing is that Tom Jentz and Hillary Doyle writes that three chassis of the original order of 100 VK 45.01 ( Tiger (P) ) were completed with Ramm-Tiger superstructures ( 'Tiger I Heavy Tank 1942-45', page 6 ).

    Designed for urban warfare (after Stalingrad) to smash through buildings and thereby prevent their use by the enemy as strongpoints.
    It was dropped in favour of the Sturmtiger / Brummbar option.
