From what I heard Romanians were worst then Germans when it came to occupation during WWII. In Ukraine they use to take everything that you would imagine. Everyone hated them. Even ethnic Moldovans (they are part Romanian and speak Romanian) hated Romanians during World War II.
From what I have read--the Ukranians and Romanians were very hated as you mentioned--especially that the Ukranian camp guards were the worst of all camp guards.
