Don't speak false! Peoples are different! And as for vodka - some stupid guy said one day that we love it, though we like more beer! And as for me I drink nothing! And russians are not as you said! All people are different!

P.S. I heard that today russian's troops destroyed georgian's missile ship. And again georgians attacked first!

Soviet not all of us are stupid. I realize Georgia started this and understand what Russia is doing. Americans are very closed minded to all things Russian. It's a fear factor. I think Russia is justified in this matter.

Soviet that's what I have always thought. That those three were generally the same people. It would get ugly if Ukraine got involved. This needs to get resolved soon. If Russia regains the territory of Georgia it will have to invest a lot to rebuild it.

Totally agree. The US is not one to say anything considering it's invasion of Iraq based on false information. It almost seems like are automatically tagged as the bad guys. Have to look at the whole picture first.

As for nuke war, doubt it. As was already mentioned, there is no benefit for any of the nuclear powers' involvement.

Russia seizes Georgia base, opens second front
By MISHA DZHINDZHIKHASHVILI, Associated Press Writer
    27 minutes ago

TBILISI, Georgia - Russia opened a second front of fighting in Georgia on Monday, sending armored vehicles beyond two breakaway provinces and seizing a military base and police stations in the country's west, the Georgian government and a Russian official said. The new forays into Georgia — even as Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili on signed a cease-fire pledge — appeared to show Russian determination to subdue the small, U.S.-backed country, which has been pressing for NATO membership.
The latest developments indicate that Russian troops have invaded Georgia proper from the separatist province of Abkhazia while most Georgian forces are locked up in fighting around another breakaway region of South Ossetia.
The West has sharply criticized Russia's military response to Georgia's attack on South Ossetia as disproportionate, and the world's seven largest economic powers urged Russia on Monday to accept an immediate cease-fire and agree to international mediation.
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and her colleagues from the Group of Seven leading industrialized nations spoke by telephone and pledged their support for a negotiated solution to the conflict that has been raging since Friday between the former Soviet state and Russia, a State Department official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because the call had not yet been formally announced.
Nana Intskerveli, the Georgian Defense Ministry's spokeswoman, said Russian armored personnel carriers rolled into the base in Senaki, about 20 miles inland from the Black Sea port of Poti.
Georgian Interior Ministry spokesman Shota Utiashvili said Russian forces also took over police stations in the town of Zugdidi — about 20 miles from the base and also outside Abkhazia.
In Moscow, a government official who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to give his name, confirmed the move into Senaki and said it was intended to prevent Georgian troops from concentrating.
The move followed Russia's warning to Georgian forces west of Abkhazia to lay down arms or face a Russian military action. Senaki is located about 30 miles east of the Inguri River, which separates Abkhazia from Georgia proper.

I could not have said it better myself!

"A disproportionate use of force" says Bush! What a load of crock. 13 Russian soldiers were killed by the Georgian peace keepers who stood only feet away guarding the Georgian border across in this "sneak attack" during the opening games of the summer olympics.

This has been brewing for a while and Russia has tried to hold her composure, Georgia has crossed the line and this was the final straw. For anyone who knows Russia, is then aware that now Russia will not stop no matter what the world may think or do until the task at hand is accomplished.

    Russia has had enough.

JCF, I am quite surprised here, you are usually very good at investigative work. Everything that the Georgian side has said, from their president, to their journalists, and military personel has been false... No airport attack, no pipeline attack, no killing of Georgian citizens due to bombing of major cities and no invasion or the attempt of the destruction of Georgia by Russia ( with the exception of Gorki ).

What makes you think that the info would be accurate this time??

The first sentence is what gives the validity of this masterful journalism at hand away.... Russia DID NOT open up a second front. Abkazia opened up a second front.

Russia is right when she say's.......

RIA Novosti - Russia - Russia points to media bias in coverage of S.Ossetia conflict

The media in the west has been depicable in its coverage on the matter and Russia will not forget this.

Just posting what the Western Media is presenting out there. To be truthful I would take what the Russians are saying with a grain of salt also. So far no one has really shown any info to the contrary. So who are we to believe?

I just seen the Georgian President on the news and I can not believe this stuff he is spouting. If he thinks I'm going to lap it up like mother's milk he is gravely wrong on that account, but the Western Media will.
