    Its about the allied North russia expedition in Late 1918 through 1920

    A great book!

    Also
    A new one called

    The Savage Wars of Peace

    For all you people that want to understand our foreugn policy.

    No, but it is something like Russia never sells Alaska to the US and so they still own it in the 1920's.

    Then they attack Canada, etc. ...!

    No no no, this isnt an alternate history, theis is a true story, in the fall of 1918, the allies sent an expeditionary force to north russia in an attempt to gaurd the munitions in archangel and perhaps keep some germans on the eastern front. Even after germany serrendered, they remained there. And for the next sixth months they fought against the bolshevik army

    Oh, but France and Britain did send troops to Russia. But that was before World War 1, I think???

    Nope, it was at the end of ww1, and the americans actually did the bulk of the fighting. Its a very good book. There is also a chapter about it in the new book "The Savage Wars of Peace"

    both are great book, and this is a great subject.
