He put them on high alert in case of an attack by NATO an alliance that not only has nuclear weapons but also who leader of this alliance (US) change its nuclear doctrine from defensive to not only a pre-emptive strike but even against nations who don't losses nuclear weapons..

He didn't know how the West would respond and took all precautions...

Wolfowitz Doctine? Never heard or either. World hegemony? Do you really believe that? The administration can't even roll out a functioning website to facilitate the enrollment of a crap insurance program and you think the frigging asswipes in power up in Washington can dominate the world? All they want to do is stay in power where they're at now.

As for the big dog stuff, I'm sure if we (US, Canada, Mexico and others) were under direct attack or on the verge of severe calamity, then they'll probably heed our advice or orders as you claim, but until that, it's more like " yeah right, we'll get right on it, yankee go home".

All of NATO doesn't do what we tell them to do either. When we were facing down the Rooskies during the Cold War, well yeah I can see that. Since that boogeyman is gone (maybe he's back in the form of the Putinistas) it may get back that way. Really, who tells France what to do? It's like telling a cat to go and pick up the paper and bring it in. Ain't gonna happen. And the rest of them aren't under the shadow of Soviet domination any longer, so they really stay at arm's reach and do pretty much what they want too. The US is the leader of the free world in people's minds these days, but really the free world is just a mob of countries doing the same thing in their own way. If Russia were to invade the Ukraine, Belarus, Poland and Slovakia for example, then the US would be called on to do something to stem the "Putin's Hoards", but after that, it's back to "yankee go home".

    Such a comedian!

If the United States had absolute power, or even a reasonable facsimile thereof, we would not be having this discussion.

Lol sorry Poppy I had intention of comparing Canada to Mexico lol.

I will state that on a Geo-political arena Canda will never disagree with the US. Earlier this year (I believe) Russia drafted a UN anti Nazism resolution. Europe voted unanimously for it. The only countries which apposed it were Ukraine and the U.S. (obvious reasons) but also Canada.
Are we to believe that Canada supports fascism? Ofcourse not! Then why vote no? Answer: US said so.

My friend the Wolfowitz doctrine was written by Paul Wolfowitz (NeoCon) under the Bush Jr. admin. It was leaked to the press and caused such an outcry that some clauses were changed (mostly worded differently) as it was seen IMPERIALISTIC!

    http://beforeitsnews.com/alternative/2014/04/wolfowitz-doctrine-us-plans-for-russia-2945824.html

This is the current U.S. foreign policy. It is the same policy that Kissinger, Chomsky, former Reagan cabinet members and other scholars are warning us about.

They all claim that we are on a very dangerous path to a military confrontation with Russia.

No it wasn't. He was part of the team but did not actually write it, I believe.
"Although Wolfowitz was ultimately responsible for the Defense Planning Guidance, as it was released through his office and was reflective of his overall outlook, he did not participate in its drafting, nor saw it before it was publicly released"

    Europe voted "unanimously for it"?
    Germany abstained.
    France abstained.
    Spain abstained.
    Luxembourg abstained.
    Finland abstained
    Denmark abstained.
    Italy abstained.
    Switzerland abstained.
    Sweden abstained.

Apparently Europe didn't vote "unanimously for it."

Did any European country even vote "Yes" for it? Find out for yourself

I'm more interested in finding out why those three countries voted against it, with other countries abstaining. Trouble is the only sources I can find are just thinly-disguised anti American rants.

I have an opinion but I would probably be labeled a conspiracy theorist....

No point of voting yes of someone already voted no..

    Would you vote no?

Then give us evidence to prove otherwise.

115 countries voted yes. They were still in the majority, regardless to 55 others abstaining.
Not sure what point you think you're making?

Seems I'm the only one presenting here... Lol

What would you like to see?

I will also ask you the same question as Takao. Would you vote no for an anti-Nazi resolution?

What's interesting is that this resolution wasn't wven mentioned in the States. Why? I presume to avoid nasty questions...

Again I really don't know I can only speculate. Maybe they were the first to vote? Maybe solidarity? I can't say really but as you correctly stated I too am more interested in the 3 who chose no. Especially when one is the leader of the free world....

It was a reference to you not being labelled a conspiracy theorist.
I can't find any sources to explain why three countries voted no, with 55 others abstaining.
I don't give a toss about opinions or theories, I just want an official statement from any of those countries. Not BS conspiracy sites.

Would you vote for a bill or law you have not read?

That's a complete contradiction of your earlier statement-

So when countries vote yes, it's solidarity; when they vote no, it's because the US told them to?!

Absolutely not. I was generalizing. I don't know why some were abstained.

    Let's get off track here.

Smoke screens Takao. So theres a chance that you too would vote against an-anti Nazi resolution which over 100 countries supported. Nice to know. Thank you.
