This is what happens when you ambush a unit charging over open field. It appears to be a whole platoon and support units.
It is and the are Otto's men. I had only 2 10man squads and a platoon HQ facing them and when he attacked, across the field I attack when my supporting platoon over the hill to the left of the picture and that caused there rout across the field, which by that time was to late. He has how ever caused considerable damage to my t-34 squadron.
Mopping up rebles as Denmark. Another group of pesky rebles... Lets face it, light infantry is never a match for heavy cavalry!
Looks really good, is the game played improved from the first one? I liked the first one and all except that when their was a rebellion in one of your Providences they weren't just peasants with pitch forks, but regiments of long bowmen or Teutonic knights and it makes you wonder how they formed all that armour and weapons, as well as the training of such a large army. Also some nations wouldn't stay destroyed, now that was a pain, like the pope. ahhh. Has that been fixed? Does it still use Providences like the first one or a more interactive map like the Rome total war series? Just to add, Rome is great, especially when you charge horses into the a line of spearmen and they all get dismounted and go flying of the top. lol Or even better, the war elephants, and watch the men go flying. I hit one man with a group of horses from 3 sides at once he went straight up, now that was cool.
The game is awesome. I still go back and play it often. Definitely has some serious re playability. Looking forward to Empire TW as well....
Empire Total War simple looks amazing. February 3rd is soooo far away! Anyways, Medieval Total War 2 (Kingdoms = Expansion) is a pretty awesome game. Graphics are great and so is gameplay. I think Denmarks needs to go to war and stop fighting peasants
BTW, I usually play as the French in TW because they have the best Knights in both the early part of the campaign and and later part.... For a good challenge, I'll play as Siciliy.... small, but effective.
I successfully completed a crusade in Tunis and know the Knights Hospitallers (i think) have set an HQ up in one of my cities. They're counted as my best unit, so when i do Council Missions, i get 4 units of them. I plan on making an Army out of them, just for the bad-ass effect. I also mainly use Swordsmen and Sargent in my armies as the Papal States.
I recently got 4 mailed knights as a reward from the council, and they went rebel. Early in the game, it's hard to counter them.
I know that feeling - it sucks. Usually, I am so upset when they do that, I'll send a small army to remind them of who their masters are. LOL -
I am waiting for the empire total war two. I enjoyed Imperial Glory where it is based around the years with muskets and dragoons, the birth of the modern military The Empire games is abased on that year isn't it?
