    Forgot to mention....
Protest about the erection of a memorial to the victims of the Irish Famine in a Roman Catholic grotto in Carfin, Lanarkshire, instead of a NON-denominational location, 2001. Also the attendance by Irish Taoisach Bertie Ahern, and a Papal representative, and the blatant attempt by a local Labour councillor (who just "happened" to be a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians) to paint Rangers FC supporters as potential terrorists, because the unveiling had been scheduled for the same date as an Old Firm match.

you guyz know what happened to several Palestinian administratorsin Gaza ?

The guys were bold enough to make some founded complaints to Arafat and the old slime ball had them mysterously blown away. Afraid to lose control and get the Palestinians to a successful and peaceful road.

Don't know if any of you have ever been to the Gaza strip but I can tell you it is beautiful. Can imagine the Palestinians if they had the initiative that they could really make this into a beautiful area of spas and resorts..........but they are under to much domineering control and I do not mean under an Israeli thumb either.....

God forbid someone actually voice an opinion rather than pander to the majority. [IMG]

God forbid someone actually voice an opinion rather than pander to the majority. [IMG] </font>[/QUOTE]There's nothing wrong with opinions, except when websites promote them as "alternative news", or facts in other words.
That site follows the three basic rules of gutter journalism:
    1) End sentences with an exclamation mark, to convey your sense of outrage at the subject! Then people will be too busy empathising to actually check the facts.
2)Print inflammatory statements like "The US set out to murder millions of civilians in Vietnam" as if it was an unimpeachable fact. Again, people will be too outraged to bother about checking the facts.
    3) If all else fails, ridicule anyone who threatens your credibility with inconvenient facts. Then people will be too busy thinking how clever YOU are to bother checking facts.
There. God forbid I should actually voice an opinion, instead of pandering to the majority.

    Regards,

    Gordon

I don't feel that the opinions aired on that site are promoted as fact at all.

The site is plainly "news and views" as it states itself. There is a news section and an articles section, quite seperate.

Articles like that one are written to get you thinking. Agree or disagree. That is, of course, the readers prerogative.

My comment on "God forbid...opinion" was a little too emotional and I'm sorry if it sparked you off. :( I should have taken the time to explain. I was meaning that the article was meant to be outspoken and thought provoking not just following the line.

Because it's their land too. And they have a right too to have their own sovereign nation. Or at least have the same rights as the Jews in their own country —Israel.

Again the same ill-founded and —excuse me— idiotic conspiracy theory of the left wingers! Or liberals, as the ignorants label socialists —whicih is not the same thing at all.

Until the American people and the government understand the real roots of the problem, there won't be any solution. They have to understand the great disparity and unequality in social-levels in the Middle East and most of Arab régimes' terrible failure to modernise and become modern, progressist governments as the United Arab Emirats or Bahrein.

Exactly. As long as Israel keeps the same arbitrary and violent policies —building walls, sistematic bombings and assassinations— there will be more and more responses by Palestinian terrorists... [IMG]

Right. And because Israel is part of the Western World and of 1st World countries.

And Erich is completely right on this! ;)
