Hi, This month's copy of BBC History magazine (March '04) carried an advert from the National Archives about two WW2 SOE Training manuals they've reprinted. The books are: SOE Syllabus (ISBN1903365600) £12.99 for paperback. Secret Agent's Handbook of Special Devices (ISBN1903365007)£16.99 in Hardback. This latter volume has been reprinted because it was featured in a BBC2 programme called "Crafty Tricks of War", in which two guys recreate time pencils, limpet mines, x-craft etc. Both volumes can be bought in any bookstore, or direct from the NA on (020)83925271. Can't wait to see if they reprint the "Highworth's Fertiliser" manual, handbook of the Auxilliary Units! Just wish my own bank balance was healthier right now........... Regards, Gordon [ 12. Thankls for that pointer, Gordon! Although SOE is not my main area of interest and I have to pool my resources for 'the area's that are'....my hands are itching....shall I, shan't I...????
