    Thank you Skipper.
I am pleased that you like the collection :)

Due to lack of space I have tried to keep away from helmets, but you just have to have at least a few of them

    M35 DD Heer SE62
    M35 NS 64
    M40 SD LW Q 62
    M42 SD Heer ET64

    Hope you like them
    Regards from Norway

Carl I think you are mistaken here, this is a 2nd pattern Blood Order. There is a complete list for the 1st pattern Blood Order with a few numbers missing here and there...but all of the names are there. It is my understanding that to date, there are names for the 2nd pattern Blood Orders but the corresponding 'key' to match the numbers up with the names is what is lacking.

Nope, im not mistaken in anything. I never called this award a 1st or 2nd pattern, I only mentioned that I HAD a list-whether complete or not? I dont know?) of the recipients of the Blood Order-which was the first pattern. I found the email I got this list sent to me in and thats what the list was labled-as a list of recipients of this award-1st pattern.

Besides, im not into non military stuff and wouldnt know a 1st or 2nd pattern blood order if if they were dangled in front of my nose. Im only into militaru stuff, but I once had an interest in the names that were on that list i recieved via email-only because I collect names and like trying to research them to see if whom on that list might have lateer become a high ranking Officer or a highly decorated soldier. Thats where my interest in the blood order ends.

    Carl,

You simply stated that you could give the OP the name for his BO and I was simply informing you that no you couldn't because the Blood Order list only matches names and numbers up to around 1500. I wasn't calling you a liar...calm down! :)

As to you having no interest in such an important piece like the BO...it's a shame because the 1st pattern BO along with the Coburg (original not the re-issue) badge are two of the most historic awards in the entire Third Reich period. Without them you would have no 'military' medals and awards to collect...none of us would.

Great lids, I am amazed by the quality of the liners. Is the Neumann lid a bunker guard Km helmet (the eagle looks gold) or is it Heer ?

Great Hauptmanns tunic. If you want? I can do a wee bit of research for officers in that Pi Btn? Might get lucky and find out who he was? and maybe someone with a high but unseen decoration ;-))

Will do but, it'll take awhile as I have to sift through some 30,000 names. Ill get started on it tomorrow ;-))

One thing I can tell you right off the bat is, that he spent a lot of time hugging the ground ;-)) I noticed that almost everything has a similar amount of paint on the highlights rubbed off of them. Ive got a couple of awards that are like that.

Not disagreeing at all and for the tunic in question it makes sense, but you do also get that same effect in AFV's - the vibrations on the bulkheads/hatch coamings/insulation do a very similar job - we didn't of course wear gongs like the Wehrmacht, but we used to get the same effect on buttons (which would end up rounded off like a chocolate drop), binoculars and radio gear etc. :)
