You can do it Martin! Apply Yourself! As my wife is fond of telling me! I have heard of the author. And the publisher also seems to have something of a reputation. At least, wait a minute, I think De Krijger, is a bookseller too, actually...ah well... I haven't heard anything about this title, Erich. You are the first and only one to mention it. Although Belgium is not the scope of my main research project, I do feel I will buy these volumes in time... They will have a lot of useful info for my research anyway. I can feel them coming so I'll try to pre-empt you, Erich ; I have NO idea when I will aquire these additions to my library. And so far I haven't read anything about them on Dutch/Belgian forums or in mags about these, so I don't know how they are received. When I know, you know!
Ja, ja..(sigh!)..zwei Bier ! I was in Holland two weekends ago and all I can say is...I'm glad so many of you speak English !
No problemo Martin as long as it is Zwei tasse ( cups ) kafe and not Zwei tasche ( pockets ) kafe....better drink Beer only in Germany...
Stevin, I hope you can pick several of these volumes up, but alas my Dutch is not to be seen. Have a bad enough time with my own English as a native language......boo hoo...... thought the volumes would be interesting as Belgium is full of goodies buried through the Ardenne, etc...... Dang, wish I was retired with about a million in my pocket as I would come over and grab you, Martin and others and go on an extended archaelogy dig(s), man the stuff we could find Altenwolf
...<Stevin biting his knuckles...again>... I'd love to go on digs. Hopefully in the coming years I will finish some archeology classes at university, so we can dig in a somewhat scientific fashion. (Like we will have the time to do that!) I think I will pick up those books, because, true, one cannot have enough books. I am in the proces of shifting through my books again though. A heart-wrenching excercise. When in the States I actually bought Saunders book on Hill 112/ODON that you recommended, but I seem to have mislaid it or something, because it was not in my suitcase anymore when I got home...
It's really quite weird the sensation of excitement when you find something...at Arnhem two weeks ago, I found a small piece of a brass fitting from one of the burned Horsa gliders on LZ-X. It's like suddenly finding a talisman, a direct link to those times....
