Spencer Dunmore: Bomb run

    A novel of a bomb run to Berlin in the later stages ow WW2, I think.

    Can anyone recommend this?

    The art work on the cover is not that great, but I guess you are not supposed to judge a book by it's cover. :D

    'Bomb Run' is a well-researched novel first published in 1971 ( I've got a paperback copy with a nice lanc/Me110 cover ). This was Dunmore's first novel ( he later went on to write the semi-official history of 6 Group, 'Reap The Whirlwind' so he knows his stuff ).

    It's OK to read but the characterisation is a little wooden - it's no match for Len Deighton's superlative 'Bomber' , for instance.

    Back into quarantine for me..... :(
