    Does anyone know what the plan was for VT-8 if it had not suffered such grievous losses at Midway? There were essentially two full-strength "squadrons", one with TBDs and one with TBFs. Would Larson's "squadron" have replaced Waldron's on Hornet, while the TBD crews transitioned to TBFs?
