KBO - Let's quote the book sources please. Give me a graphic artist and a website and I'll show you little 5 year old girls eating tanks for breakfast.

    More pics of these KV2's
The first photo is another view of the first KV2 pic posted.

The other 3 are of the second KV2 posted. I have checked this last KV very carefully and it is the second tank. the pattern of hits match exactly (note penetration through gun tube).

    KBO,

Those photos show hits, but in my opinion, not one is a perforation of the armor.

Well then what do you call it when the whole side of a tank is blown up...??? plus the 88 knocked it out from the behind, so thats why you dont see any crucial hits...

once again those are photos of at least 2 possibly 3 KV-2 vehicles, not the same one. and definetely not the KV-1 described by Raus during the crossroads battles.

anyone can create a case then attempt to find proof that validates a theory. In that case ya need to revert to the first person account.

"Then its turret rotated, it took careful aim, and methodically silenced our antitank battery with a few 80mm shells.."

it cant be much clearer. a shot from a 150mm cannon at point blank range is a memorable experience. Raus specifically states the shots we 76.2 cm ( 80mm ) shells not 150mm as were used in the KV-2.

I think its kind of rude to force a baseless concept on the community and then try to find some facts that will clarify.

some of you photos are of a kv on a densely wooded road as can be seen by the tall coniferous trees in the background, some are inside a village, others are on an open road, some have holes in the gun barrel some dont.. some have broken treads and tow cables.. others dont. in not one instance do ya show any proof ( witness statements, bibliographical sorces etc... that positively identify the vehicles in your photos as being the one that was engaged at the crossroad.) my source is the guy that was on the scene... the commander who wrote the report and who sent men to die fighting the beast. he is the one ya need to listen to... no matter how many photos ya throw of 78 different KV-1s.. nor how many times ya insist yer right ( cus ya are, thats why ) is going to offer definitive proff that your correct in your assumption that the vehicle in question ws a KV-2 is gonna change the fact that the Brigade commander in charge on the scene who personally climbed into the vehicle to inspect it and had to send reportd to his superiors describing how dozens of his troops, weapons and vehicles were killed and destroyed insists that it was a KV-1.

the web is not an accurate source of information unless it supplies iron clad source.
