No it definately a French tank that came into service just after WW2 but can I remember the name? Can I hell.
AMX-40... Developed from the Char B (note similar hull & tracks) actually during WW2, and built in small numbers afterwards. However, the French used German Panthers as their main tank after WW2 (I think!), and the AMX-50 design was not used, as American tanks were available.
I think its a French ARL 44 and , as said, developed from the Char B. It was a prototype with a 90mm gun in a "Schneiderturret". Magnus
