I got a kick out of the headline on one Brit paper; If the "few" had defended during the Battle of Britain as well as England did against Germany, we would be speaking German now!

Well, both USA and England are now toastola.

Netherlands certainly dominating the game. 60+ mins in and the Slovaks don't have a shot on goal yet and are very lucky its not 3 - 0 right now.

Speaking German is not so bad but did it mean that we have to eat fish and chips and have to drink warm ale:eek:?;)

I think the Brazilians will pick apart the Chileans defense, but be open to Chilean counter-attack. I am thinking final score Brazil 4 - 2 Chile.

Can you imagine how much better they'd be with a healthy Robben?

Now we get to watch a guy named 'Fatty' run around on the field vs Brazil.

Interesting stat..brazil has won the last five meetings and scored 20 goals in the process, to Chile's five goals. 1-0 brazil, true to form..:D whoops! 2-0.. time for chile to get serious? kick, boot, anything goes time. just like the good old days of chile v uruguay..

A high scoring affair (3 - 0) with Chile very exposed on the counter-attack. Chile had its chances (not many) to score but Brazil is just too good for them. Brazil vs. Netherlands should be a really interesting game!

Tomorrow, Spain vs Portugal is the big one. Can't wait for that - lets go Spain!

I am going 1 - 1 for Paraguay vs Japan, Paraguay winning the PKs 4 to 3.

A goal-less draw in regular and OT play, we're now into the PK Shootout that everyone predicted. At least the Spain vs Portugal game will be more exciting in regular play.

And oh knows, Japan just missed a PK - off the crossbar! My 4 - 3 prediction might come true....as long as Paraguay misses.

Spain seems to be dominating the first 20 minutes of the game vs. Portugal. Ronaldo already doing what he does best - diving due to minimal (if any) contact.
