I truly agree. The music business is now all about money now. Money for the company/labels and the music artist. And if your music doesn't sell they drop you. I'm just glad the documentary brought him to light. I can now enjoy his music at any time because of that documentary.

 

Minstrels used to be amongst the lowest in society...its only "pop" music that brings us here today...they used to be paid peanuts...they should again.

 

Nah, Hollywood is by far the most scummy of all the arts...Look at the ratings for the Oscars...Fruitcake in his underwear prancing around- that's entertainment. High art. Hilarious in their drugged delusions.

The blacks were really taken advantage of in music. Big groups (Zep, Stones, etc) have ripped off many honest musicians. The Stones prolly lifted a lot of stuff. Their band name was inspired by Muddy Waters.
Music has been nefarious for many decades. Ruled my a mob of one sort or another.
Thinking now, the 'net evens the playing field. Every Joe can get his music out. If it sticks to the wall- a hit is born. The way it should be. Cut out the middle men.

 

Music should be something people do...not listen to solely...Self expression - very underated in most environments - but its what keeps us sane...Teach your kids to write, play music, draw and paint and you will have a happy child/adult.

Wait a second, your not married, and have no kids...Kids are hard, man. Very time consuming and expensive. That's why we don't have more of them.

 

Men werent meant to look after kids...its why we find it so hard.
Females and their mothers are the traditional carers...Kids are a life sucking experience...you give your life to them and they count the days when they can sell your house.
I also think that the immune system begins to deteriorate after one has made a decision not to have any more...(or even after just having kids) you have no further use in Natural world terms...Having not been married and not having had kids, i think i am fitter and stronger and much younger looking than my 44 year mates who have children...nature/my body still keeping me in the game until i fulfill my reproductive destiny...In short, kids are overrated.

So much rubbish fed to us in the name of living harmoniously in large groups...a lot...most of it is baloney! (Hows that for an Americanism?).
I was fortunate not to have a "traditional" upbringing...had to work stuff out myself...from observation. What you see and what you are told rarely match.

...Some guys are lucky to find an even balanced gal, they hold on to 'em like oxygen...Then if any good lady becomes available (usually a widow, just because), it is an absolute feeding frenzy...Lady becomes a princess because they are so much in demand. The olds and married have deeper pockets than the newly divorced and can buy their way in.
Or you have to go to church. Then there is about a 10 month waiting period.
Or, you could go to the "quicky mart" and find a nice Mormon girl. But , you know, tithing and all that.
