    The Germans used that plane?!?
    Probably to save fuel as they could fill it with air! :D

    Italian?, 1930's (BeeGee era) According to one of the comments its a Stipa-Caproni ducted fan.

    I love the flying houseboat (Caproni design) underneath. IIRC it actually got airborne (once)

    Actually I think all the British heavy bombers of WW2 were pretty ugly beasts - not to say they weren't good aircraft - the Lancaster, for example was truly excellent. They all represented the triumph of functionality over aesthetics, however.

    (Why do I get the feeling I'm going to regret this post ?)

    Lancasters and Halifaxes aren't ugly! Even the failed Manchester isn't ugly.

    Just right click on it and select properties.

    The actual link is h++p://www.notebookforums.com/images/smilies/dummy3.gif

    You put it in as an img. Of course, if you ask nicely, the mod squad might add it to the regular ones.

    What do you think about these planes? "Ugly" is a word far away from these products of wicked minds! :D

    The Airbus model's the Beluga transport. And I've never thought of it as really ugly, just really weird. The prop-driven model I dunno. What is it?
