As one who is heartily sick of the past, I'm hoping, really hoping it's a New Future!! ...so for the time being, I'm giving him the benfit of the doubt ! Yep there is no fool like an old fool. I am suprised that you think 'this time' will be different from every other time. It always starts with promises of a new dawn and generational change but it never ever happens. Soon we will start getting more of the same old greed, self-interest and corruption, Down the line we will see Cameron turfed out and a promise from the new leader about the 'new dawn', 'generational change' ect, ect, ect.
So much for the 'new' Politics. One of the first moves is to raise the bar for dissolving Parliament. It was done purely to stuff Labour though they will claim otherwise.
My crystal ball seems to be working, see post number 6. Any requests? Congrats Richard and Gordon. The next question is who's next after Greece? Now that some more intelligent heads of states have come to power in Europe(Germany, France, and UK), what will they do to prevent the PIGS from dragging the European economy down. I am now a self proclaimed partial owner of the Isle of Corfu as my tax dollars are paying for some lame ass who doesn't work but thinks that burning things is the smart way to make his life better. Socialism you bet! Wonder what Russia is thinking these days. How do you say Anschluss in Russian? I dunno ask a Georgian.
I'm opened minded on this con/lib do and prepared to see how this goes and for how long. If Mr Cameron has any sense he should release all the info on labours mess to the public if not, you will hear "Thatcher is back as Cameron."
How about: We'll be shi*e too, but another flavour. As a slogan for the new government? The problem with politicians is that they try to adress every issue by making a law. There should be law (revolving door, me storming through, hitting me in backside...) that forced politicians to remove one law to pass a new one. And there should be a cap of 67 laws in total. And they should be no more than two sentence in length. Punishment would be one of the three: £199 fine, death by hanging, or forced relocation to Swansea. Best of luck to the new lads and the UK (the shining light of western culture...and beer...and football...and soft top sport cars...)
Just hope that sourness doesn't effect the grapes in Europe. Looking forward to some good vintages to celebrate the end of socialism.
I'm 51, we've had Tory, Labour, Tory, Tory, Tory, Tory, labour, labour, Labour.......................Tory/Libdem................ I want it to work cos we've had the other and it's crap!! The country's going to the dogs...............Fleet street wants it fail...........so too the dinosaurs..............I hope Cameron & Clegg make it work, we deserve better than a Thatcher or a Brown, god damn them both.
Clearly you have no idea how Cameron is using this union to sideline his right-wing and shift the Tories into the centre and steal New Labours clothes.
We've tried most over here aswell, but it doesn't seem to change that much. As soon as the new lads move into office, they inadvertedly start to think 'four more years' and we're back to square one. As for Brown and his cronies they seem to have been hell bent on getting everyone employed in health and safety or some other government job. Going to be tough on 'em when the saving cuts starts enmasse. I don't beleive in politicians anymore. They are reared as politicians and have no real connection with the ordinary man. (was going to type people, but Hr. Oberst would have thought me left wing radical) The proper politicans over here came from all walks of life and simply got on with it. Nowadays it is commite's, advicors and god knows what just to agree on the name of a new project. No wonder things are slow.
This will be the last chance for politicians in the UK to get there act together, Mr Cameron wants the politicians to work for the people again, bloody right. The last thing we want to see is them to slide back in to there old sleazy corrupt ways. PLAN-B, the third British civil war. PLAN-A, try to avoid PLAN-B.
The dinosaurs were back out in Edinburgh yesterday; DC came north to meet Alex Salmond (Shrek!) and was greeted by anarchists telling him to "eff off back to Eton". Wonder if they'll ever pass a brain scan?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KONf7k62k98] Errr.. Bloody call centres, come on Mr Cameron lets get rid of them as well.
I see we have both French and English members in the Cult of Skaro, I am not a number either said the friends of Davros. Tom Baker smiled. Hope the election and govt gets sorted out and in the end you have more change in your pocket and less in the governments.
First round of cut backs are set to hit the public sector and more are on the way. Interesting to note Mr Cameron would like ideas from the general public as he tackles the £700 billion mess we are in.
