The difference....Its the food...we eat meat...you eat funny looking onions...

Then again I can be Irish when the English are wrong....and English when the Irish are wrong...Its a gift given to some of us by him upstairs.

This has nothing to do with the meet, but I was away last week, and imagine my surprise when I logged on today to see that Urqh has re-emerged! Welcome back from wherever, and I look forward to more of your posts.

Anyway, have I missed something...Have we agreed a date then?

Wtid45....You dont have to do a day trip...we can get you put up in Union Jack Club at Waterloo I'm sure...Cheap but cheerful, and full of stories when ever I go there...Thats where I get most of em from anyway...Stefan would of course being a Rupert have to go to Victory Services club...We get the mirror between us at table at breakfastg, he will get the Times on a tray and his boots laced up and cleaned by some batman type....

Go to Union Jack club mate, you'll probably meet more 14th army vets than at a Burma star meeting passing thru the smoke...

Right, sod it, let's go for the 8th, we'll get ourselves booked into the Union Jack club in Waterloo because it is close to the station, cheap and cheerful.

Plan for the day, book shopping in the morning near Leicester Square, lunch somewhere convenient (there are loads of places in that area) and then the IWM before retiring to an appropriate location for some sort of pie/beer related entertainment in the evening. I'll have a chat with a mate of mine who works at the IWM see if he can organise something special but can't promise anything.

Right, so who is coming on the 8th?

I'd be 'up' for this - that's if I know about it ( thanks to my mysterious 'having-problems-logging-on-to-the-forum problem ! ). If it's organized, perhaps someone can send me an email or pm with details ?
