Thanks my friend--I wanted to wait for confirmation--just in case. :D

Staying with Sands of Iwo Jima. Name the actor who played Private Conway. This man passed away within the last several months to about a year ago.

    Sorry for the delay people.

Nice easy one for you. Who wrote the screenplay for the film "633 Sqaudron"?

Sticking with '633 Squadron', Ron Goodwin wrote the score.

What idea did he use, that made the title theme unusual, and was connected with the title of the film ?

( Hey, I've just given this one away... ;) )

Oh dear. I was so hoping I was wrong.

(Note to self: research new question BEFORE answering last one!!!)

Back to my favourite actor. James Mason played a character called 'Richard Francis Heritage'.

Name the Movie and the year.

As an aside, the 'radio announcer' was a very well known BBC news reader - name him!

Well Martin--had I been able to buy and watch 633 Squadron several days ago--i'd been able to answer your question. I just bought it last night along with Mosquito Squadron. I'm looking forward to seeing these.

I have never seen Mosquito Squadron and only saw part of 633 Squadron some 20 odd years ago and I remember nothing about it.

OK, as we seem to be on a 'Mosquito roll' at the moment ; -

How many Mosquitoes flew in the making of '633 Squadron', and how many were severely damaged/destroyed in the filming ? ;)

    I'll try another wild guess.

8 flew and two were damaged.

    OR

9 flew and three were damaged?

Well, I can see you're putting some deep and serious research into this Carl !

I'll give you a little help - the second part of your first answer ( by some miracle... ) was correct.... ;)
